Postdoctoral Researcher
(Oslo Team)

University of Oslo, Norway

I am trained as a neuroscientist and a geneticist and aim to contribute meaningfully to the broader understanding of genetic influences on brain function and mental health, ultimately paving the way for more effective interventions and treatments.
During my doctoral studies, I started utilizing population databases comprising MRI and genotype information to explore the genetic relationship between neuroimaging-derived phenotypes and neuropsychiatric disorders. During my first postdoctoral position at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience, I specifically examined the overlap across anxiety, depression and insomnia from a genetics and neuroimaging perspective. I have now joined the Oslo team to contribute to the BRAINGAP project by fusing brain imaging and genetics data to reveal mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders.
